The Great Spiritual Escape

There's something about submerging oneself in water that allows your spirit to elevate into another dimension almost. Every since I was a young woman, I felt the power of a bath, drawn as hot as I could stand it, with low candle light, that some how, some way opens up the universe to me. My third eye or sixth sense come alive and I can literally feel my soul escape this realm in search of higher ground.

I believe it's the process of being still and allowing your stress to subside that answers from God simply pop into your state of understanding. For me, I gain clarity and my creativity sparks resulting in some amazing concepts that are applicable to my immediate life. I try to always have a pad nearby so I can jot down the thoughts as they come.

Sometimes I receive visions of something incredible, and sometimes I receive answers to issues that have been bothering me for some time. I never know what I'll encounter, but when I have sought, I have found.

Because of my single mom busy life, I seldom get the chance to make this great escape more than weekly, but as frequently as I can, I make this a date for myself, with myself. It's an opportunity to gain some real inspiration and as Deepak Chopra says, inspiration is that state when mind and heart are connected. And for me, I can make that connection happen on cue when I'm able to take that ritual dip.

Try it if you're looking for divine guidance. Let me know if it works for you.

Yes I agree, soaking and relaxing in a hot tub of water is relaxing and calming to the soul. You are allowing yourself to be a peace and being in a calm state of mind. That's why you are able to focus on things more and are able to hear our inner being connect with you. I love to take long hot bubble baths. A woman should put in her busy life every week.

I not only associate water with washing and cleansing the body, but also the mind, body, thoughts in spirit. It's an essential place of being with yourself and immersing oneself with one of the elements of God. It can produce a harmony of relaxation and balance if one permits to think of things that are of divinity, being God with you.

I agre with all. I have always used the bath to relax, hash out plans or just commune with God. Water, in it's natural state, has a calming effect. Companies and people spend plenty of money each year on waterfalls, fountains or ponds. After all we and earth are 75% water.

I'm currently in school training to become a LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist). I agree with all the posted comments. Your hot bath ritual, is an immerse part of hydrotherapy. I know when I'm relaxing in the comfort of a hot bath, it puts my mind at ease. I'm able to feel a release of my spirit being sent to a serene and calm world. Yes our body is the 75% mentioned by Ms. C. Smith. Water is an element that is used to wash, cleanse and purify the mind, body and spirit. So for anyone reading and posting, if you don't do a hot soak on a regular, began adding it into your weekly routine. And if you don't on a regualr basis, add a Massage into your weekly routine. If not weekly, try monthly. It will do you wonders. So relaxing.
