What do you do during a slow economy?

What do you do during a slow economy?

Today, the stock market fell even lower and many feared that the market would crash today. Even the President came on television asking everyone to spend as usual and to trust that the US is doing everything it can to stop this economical crisis that we are in.

So in light of everything that's going on what should we be doing? My answer is that we should stand still as much as possible and let the storm pass. Below are five tips on surving hard times:

1. Pray! There's nothing like praying for our country and asking God to bring us through.

2 Go back over your budget (you do have one don't you?) and identify areas that you can cut out fo the time being. This might be on clothing allowance, entertainment etc.

3. No eating out! For a family of four one eating out session can be $100 or more at a "sit down" restaurant.

4. Okay sisters, I know we like our hair looking good, but perhaps we can cut our salon visits down to one or two per month.

5. Bring Back Family Night! There's nothing like family getting together and enjoying one another, but most importantly, supporting one another. If you are single and have no immediate family in your area, invite your adopted family (friends) over.

What are some ways that you can cut back while the economy is slow?
