Your Behavior tells it all

Good morning sorry I haven't been on in a minute . I pray everything is well with you all. I have been spending time with my siblings and studying the word/praying and mentoring for the last couple of days. I encountered something on last friday , that brought about the title of this blog , so here goes . I have a five year old son . He is very smart . He is very challenging at times . Well friday was one of those days. Mark-elliott came home with a red mark on his progress report . This is not good . Red , Yellow or Orange are bad marks , whereas green is a good mark . I asked my son why did he get a red mark he told me because I wasn't listening . I then asked him why wasn't you listening he tells me I don' t know . Now I know you'll Know that was not the right answer . I mean this just made my blood boil ,so I spanked him and punished him for the entire weekend. I do not get enjoyment from spanking him and it breaks my heart , furthermore I was very disappointed in him because I am not raising him to be disrespectful because you know what he does at school or anywhere else reflects me and to be honest I don't play that . Guess what that's how God feels when we constantly get into things we know we shouldn' t . Doing things we know we shouldn't be doing . Just as the world system has rules and there are consequences for breaking those rules , the kingdom of God works the same way . You can't do whatever you think your big and bad enough to do . There are consequences . The father will chastise you . You know what I like about God though when you belong to him he will bring you in one way or the other , so what marks are you making ? Is it a red , yellow or an orange? I pray it is a green . I know that on this christian journey we wont always make good marks but it's your intent , your will , your desire to want to do the right thing . God knows your heart and if the desire is there he will cause your desire to become like his desire . I like this blog alot and I hope you do all of us can relate . Either you have kids or maybe your helping to raise a child . Disciplining a child comes with the territory so remember that when the father begins to discipline you, strive for excellence remember your behavior tells it all Love you'll have a blessed day.

I'm sorry but I saw your kid's adorable little face and I totally almost forfeited reading your blog. Your blog (by the way) hit the nail right on the head. When we are chastised by the Lord or our parents for that matter, we ought not despise it because it is for our good and out of the Love that our heavenly Father and our earthly parents have for us so that we won't be called "bastards". God is a loving father and He only wants the best for us and chastisement is needed when we get distracted from the path that has been prepared for us. Great blog!!
