Do You Really Need a Man?
Ladies, are you happier when you’re in a relationship? Do you feel unfulfilled when you’re not in one (or at least a good one)? Is finding a man a DAILY topic of discussion for you? Do men really have such a large impact on our happiness? The General Social Survey may think so. According to the survey, since the 1970s, there has been a downward spiral in women's happiness and it may be related to men.
Sadly and surprisingly I can see the connection. Some women spend so much time trying to find, or be found, by a man, that they get discouraged when things aren’t working out as planned. Or even for women who are in relationships, they may spend so much time dealing with the issues of a troubled relationship, that they begin to neglect their goals, dreams, and well being.
It’s funny that when a woman is ‘glowing’, people immediately identify this ‘glow’ with having a man or being in love. So can women not obtain this ‘glow’ if they’re single? Is it possible to just be content with a budding career, great friends, and supportive family? Or do women feel unfulfilled without male companionship?
This survey brings up so many questions. Basically, why do we allow men, or any person for that reason, to make us so unhappy? So while HDF definitely hits you with the posts on relationships with men, there is also going to be an emphasis on building better relationships with the woman in the mirror (yes you, honey). Ladies, you can be fabulous and have a glow with or without a man. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying don’t prepare yourself to love and be loved by a man, but don’t let this be the basis of your existence.
Sooo, as a single woman, or a woman in an unhappy relationship, let’s focus on you, physically, mentally, emotionally, & spiritually. Everyday ask yourself, what am I doing to be a better, more content woman? And once you begin to focus on becoming a better and happier you, he will come.

Relationships in my opinion whether dating or just kikin' it are what makes the world go round. After being burned really badly in a r/ship... I took a break for a year of two until I got tired of the single scene.
Honestly though, being with a man (in a relationship) is where I thrive best. It's just something about having someone special to share life with that makes me feel special.
I will admit that relationships aren't always a bed of roses, but for the most part when having spats, making up is even better!
