What are you doing with YOUR time?

Cassandra Carter · Monday, July 6th 2009 at 1:38PM · 164 views
Surprised by the death of Michael Jackson and others that went home before him in this year alone leads me to ask myself a lot of questions and re-evaluation my own life.

Some of these people were sick and others died suddenly but whatever the case I have to ask myself what will I do with whatever time I have left.

We are all given a purpose in life and are given a set amount of time to accomplish that purpose. I had to ask myself if I have used the time I have been given wisely. Have I always been a solution provider as opposed to just being a problem? Have I always given a helping hand instead of looking for a hand out?

Michael Jackson was one of the most successful people of hisd era. He loved and cared for so many people who were in need of love, he raised millions for different causes and made music that touhed everyone's life. But yet his own life was filled with sadness, hurt and pain. He was estranged from his family and often critizied and made fun of in the media when it suited them but he went on and did what he was purposed to do. Inspite of all that was against him, including himself he still pressed on and produced all kinds of fruit. To this day people are still listening to his music, cutting the rug up with his dance moves and remembering all the good that he has done.

What will people say about you when you die? Are you about the completing the purpose God placed in you or are you too busy complaining about what you don't know? Do you have a vision and a plan for that vision? If not, tell me what is stopping you? what would it take to get you up and ready to go forth?

I admonish you, Please do not waste anymore time because time is the most precious commodity we have and once its gone, it can never be retrieved. Plus time is given to everyone but is promised to no one.

Live again, dream again and achieve again, after all that is what life is all about.

Have a Blessed Day,

Thanks Felicia. Thanks for reading my blog. I'm sort of new to this but I feel I have alot to say. Have you been a member of this site long?

You are very good at being a "blogging solution provider" and hopefully your hands on efforts have worked as well. I read some of your blogs and sounds like at a young age, problems were in your face where you couldn't defend yourself so your strenght through it all meant you were not just being a problem? Have I always given a helping hand instead of looking for a hand out? I recall a few addictions I've struggled with and how easy it was to be on welfare at that time and the combination was toxic. I real ly held myself back and I needed a hand out through that mess. I credit myself for not losing my caring and generous spirit even in an addictive state. It was so difficult to bounce back mentally and physically but at that time I questioned why I had to go through that season and what my true purpose was in that situation. 20 yrs has passed since I rehab'ed from it and I see how life passed me by at that time and what I missed but I forgive myself today so I can "Live again, dream again and achieve again, after all that is what life is all about" is exactly the point you stressed and my acceptance from this point on. Thank you for your blogs and your prayers that are written so the reader can let it penetrate and regurgitate it for our own release. You are a warrior for God and as you are sharing your blessing we are being blessed. May you have continued success in all that you do. Ms Mittie

Thanks Ms Mittie. That means so much to me to hear you say those words. You're correct in saying that I have encountered many issues at a very young age. I have never been an addict but I have family memebers who were and I must say to be in a recovery stage is an AWESOME accomplishment that you should be very proud of. Lots of times we do not give ourselves the credit we deserve. Of course all Glory belongs to God, He has given us the Grace and Mercy to do what needs to be down and WE (you and I ) do it, we are obedient to what He says do and we deserve some credit for that. I too, have let some of live pass me by and I try sometimes to redeem the time. One lesson I wish i was taught in my childhood is that time is one of life's most precious commodities and once its lost, its lost forever and cannot be retrieved. That is why we must make every moment count and not waste any of it because it is truly irreplacable.

God Bless,

Cassandra
