Okay You've Made It, Now What?

Everybody has certain aspirations or a certain ideal way that they think their life should go right? Okay so say for instance that you made it to that desired destination. It's been a long and hard trek but finally you've got there, so now what? What do you consider your accomplishments? Would it be awards, or when you come back to your hood and people are showing their admiration? Well having the title "first" or "top of class" does show that you've worked hard to get where you are at but that doesnt prove accomplishment. The definition of accomplishment is an act or instance of carrying into effect; fulfillment: the accomplishment of our desires. So if your goal in life is to have your own hair business or be the first black trillionaire its okay to say that. But real accomplishment is when you humble yourself and then show someone else how to become their first or the second. Its not giving a hand out its giving a hand up. Us as black people have this mentality of "i gotta get mine and you get yours" state of mind. If you see a person hungry and have a heart of a lion and is willing to grind and take that chance on becoming successful then help. Your successor will be your accomplishment. So stay humble and meek and mild and remember never to denigrate anyone. You never know who you might come across Food For Thought. Eat it, it's carb free (smile)
