The Race To The Finish Line
Hello Friends and Family:
The race is not always won by the fastest of the strongest, but often to he who remains persistent. Which do you want to be in this spiritual race: a winner or a loser? Jesus was the greatest winner of all. Yet He experienced rejection. He experienced deep sorrow. He experienced intense loneliness. He experienced every human emotion. Jesus has run before us, and He has shown us how to win this race of life. But we must keep looking to Him. He will see us through.
You must keep in mind that absolutely nothing is out of your reach when you put your heart into it. Think about it. Only you can set the boundaries and limits in your life?
Remember, the race is not always won by the swiftest, but the one who (like the hare in the story of "The Hare and the Tortoise) didn’t give up and kept pushing forward has often won it. Therefore, don't falter along the way and always keep the finish line in your heart and on your mind. When I began reflecting on this verse, I thought about my life and your lives and the world and year in which we are living. I think most of us would agree that in many ways and at many levels, the best descriptive word for this year and season of our lives would be “unexpected” and “relocate”.
Think about it, the Turtle probably never thought he could beat the Hare and he was probably as surprised as anyone that he won. He set out to finish the race, did the best he could, and perchance, won. But he did win—how unexpected.
Maybe Even More Important FOR US! God intends for us to finish the race by following His instructions and doing our best, the rest is up to Him. That’s what we have done for several years now here in ALTF and we are now moving toward the finish line.
The race has been tough and we have faced many difficult challenges. Yet we have remained steadfast on our journey. Sure we have often grown tired, but we have not given up. We have even struggled, but persevered. I challenge you to look inside yourself and find your second wind. Develop yourself and your skills to success.
You are invited to join us tonight as we take another step toward our finish line. In the ALTF race, we can all win. We are now focusing on adding twenty-one business and professional people in the following cities to become ALTF Associate Owners: Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Nashville, New York, Oakland, and Philadelphia.
