Here’s your first look at the upcoming film, I AM ALI. From director Clare Lewins and the producers of the award-winning SEARCHING FOR SUGARMAN comes an intimate and heart-warming look at the man behind the legend – as we’ve never seen Ali before.

This documentary features previously unseen family photographs and tape recordings which have never been heard outside the family.

These audio recordings, based on telephone conversations and tape recordings Ali made of his family and friends provide the narrative spine of the film.

Given that Ali is no longer able to talk as he once did, this audio archive gives the film a freshness and poignancy and ensures that Ali’s charismatic voice is stamped on his own story.

This film is a very personal account of Ali not just as a fighter but as a father, husband, brother, friend and a man who stood up for what he believed in.

It includes his daughters, son, ex-wife and brother, plus legends of the boxing community including Mike Tyson, George Foreman and Gene Kilroy. Each contributor tells their own unique story of what it was like to be with Ali.

Focus Features will release I AM ALI in theaters, On Demand and Digital HD on October 10.
