Irma is in a better place plus she knows all the truth of the living. She knows who I am. I am different from Irma. I don't want one more day like Irma to have radiation and pain. Remmber her referance of turning medicine into poision?

Irma is fine. She was bless to hear her prophet and what out future especially for our children is going to be.

Steve Williams Saturday, June 28th 2014 at 7:56PM

Poison into medicine. We will be together in our future lives.

MIISRAEL Bride Saturday, June 28th 2014 at 8:09PM

Irma has left so many wonderful memories within me. Many times we had laughs, and she said once I wrote something very emotional that made her cry with joyful tears. I will remember her fondly.
And I loved her typing misspelled words. Just only a few of memories I shared with of her.

Siebra Muhammad Saturday, June 28th 2014 at 9:30PM

She was an inspiration to us all and a joy to the BIA family. I remember my conversations with Irma on the phone and she could never pronounce my name correctly (LOL). My name is pronounced "Sy-bra" but most people pronounce it "Sabrina" or "Sierra". But she was so kindhearted and motherly I would always let it slide (LOL). And she never grew tired of reading my "FREEDOM OR FREE" poem on my profile page (LOL). We were all touched by Irma's beauty and her strength and her good sense of humor.

Siebra Muhammad Saturday, June 28th 2014 at 9:34PM

She had a good heart, a good sense of humor and a fighter’s mentality. She loved us all and her spirit demonstrated that love.

John 14:1-4
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God;trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.

Brothers and Sisters of 'Black In America,' we all love Sister Irma Robinson! I am sure that she is smiling at us and concocting a prose right now to tell us how much she loved us as well... We will all truly miss her; I shall miss her deeply! GOD will has surely blessed her. :-)

I'd like to share the message between Sister Siebra and I; I'm sure she will not mind:
Greetings Brother Greg,

In deep sadness, I must inform the BIA family that Sis. Irma Robinson (an BIA member) has passed away following her battle with cancer. From my understanding she transitioned yesterday morning (Friday 6/27/14). I was informed of this by a fellow site member and close friend of hers. There is also some internet activity surronding this.

May peace be onto her soul.

Peace, Love, and Blessings,

Siebra

Siebra Muhammad Sunday, June 29th 2014 at 6:20PM

Yes sir, and I have emailed Richard Kigel to inform him of Irma's passing as well.

Siebra Muhammad Sunday, June 29th 2014 at 6:58PM

As someone who communicated with her often on BIA, I am saddened that she had passed. However I respect the life process and know that death is inevitable and will come at its appointed time. Irma was family-oriented, and her generous soul was strongly focused on the well being of others. Irma strived for balance and harmony in all that she did. She will be alright!

Harry Watley Sunday, June 29th 2014 at 7:59PM

TruthBeTold,

Why do you suck up behind the Jewish Jesus quoting John 14 and you are not Jewish? Are you stupid? You know that spiritually nothing can cross over the racial line from one race to another since prophets are racially different. I am Irma's prophet.

Mr. Gregory,

Analytically you are referring to no one but Prophet Harry am I right. Well, what have I defiled? Secondly, what prophet ever brought evil to his people? Mr. Gregory I've never done anything to you, why do you hate on me my brother?

Steve Williams Sunday, June 29th 2014 at 9:37PM

Just so you all know, it appears the cause of death was kidney failure. I had become concerned because Irma was telling me how tired she was and couldn't keep anything down. Then she started not answering her calls, not just mine but her other friends as well. I called her daughter about this, who called Irma and Irma called me back on the 14th. She did not sound good at all and on the 16th Meko called me to let me know she'd called the ambulance and her mom had gone to Rideout hospital. Her potassium level was extremely high and her kidneys were failing. I don't know if these were related, but they got the potassium down and started dialysis. On the 26th she called me from the nursing home/rehab facility where she had been transferred for continuing dialysis since they didn't want her at home by herself. She had been transferred earlier in the week, maybe on Monday but I'm not positive. Anyway, Thursday was the last time I talked with her. We talked about her phone/internet switchover because Comcast would not talk to me about it. She was going to call them, another friend was going to bring her TV to the nursing home, another was getting her a cell phone, and another was going to bring her a portable Gohonzon (the mandala that is used during chanting). I also asked her if her kidney specialist was still optimistic that he would be able to get her kidneys functioning again and she said yes. We even talked about politics. In short, it looked like she was getting better. On Friday she got up and took a bath, or was getting ready to take a bath, but the nurse found her at around 8 on Friday and she was gone. Irma had just turned 71 on May 6th.

Steve Williams Sunday, June 29th 2014 at 9:42PM

This is not the place Harry. This is a place of remembrance, a memorial for one we all loved very much.

Harry Watley Sunday, June 29th 2014 at 10:22PM

Stupid Steve,

I loved Irma. Irma was one of my people. God would have never anointed me if I didn't love her and all Black Americans! It is I who can say something for her to God and not any of you all can. So, what the hell are you trying to tell me about my own people White Steve?

DAVID JOHNSON Monday, June 30th 2014 at 1:39AM

MAMA IRMA said to me david, when you have lived as long as me, you will just sit and let it all just roll off of you...because by that time you will have had your children proved evey curse yours parents had put on you for runing them crazy has come true and you have had the pleasure of seeing your children pass these same curses onto your grand childrenfor them now running them crazy ...live is all fun and joy... thank you MAMA IRMA ,

Harry Watley Monday, June 30th 2014 at 5:32AM

David,

The advice Irma gave you is nothing more than a continuation of passing ignorance from one generation to the next generation making the young generation to be as ignorant as the older generation.

Siebra Muhammad Monday, June 30th 2014 at 9:00AM

Harry, we just lost one of the most popular and sharpest thinking site members, and all you can focus on is some damn "prophet" talk? With all due respect lay off the B.S!

Like Steve said, this is a place of remembrance, a memorial for one we all loved very much. So please stop trying to make something bigger than it is!

If you want to celebrate Irma, let's celebrate Irma...if you're not, get the hell off this blog and stop with the internet etymology game playing. This is not the time for stupidity.

Siebra Muhammad Monday, June 30th 2014 at 10:17AM

One of Irma's last messages prior to her passing in regards to her illness:

"My thanks to all of you my friends...if you have ever fought a private battle with your own self then you will be able to understand what I have been going thorugh the past few days...I ran into something I have never runi nto before at least to this extent...or as Clark said in a comment some where on some blog a while back about "going back to the future". well this is what I did and it was not a wonderfurl experience...

...thanks for all of you being there for me. (smile) this is why life is an never ending lesson...we all change every second of the day and yet we must never fial to do our best to survive."

Helen Lofton Monday, June 30th 2014 at 3:11PM

I really liked Irma, because she was the only one who said to me ( in so many words) that I needed to learn how to protect myself against the evil spirits of witchcraft. I read that Irma went to a nursing home because her family didn't want her to be along, yet I'm sure that her bed at home was more secure to her than the nursing facilities.

Steve Williams Monday, June 30th 2014 at 3:42PM

Siebra, yes Irma was a survivor, she was about overcoming obstacles and this she did, even at the end.

Steve Williams Monday, June 30th 2014 at 3:44PM

Or I should say ESPECIALLY at the end, that biggest obstacle of all.

Dea. Ron Gray Sr. Monday, June 30th 2014 at 4:14PM

Thank You Sister Mohammad for keeping the fun and teaching memories of Sister Irma Robinson real

Siebra Muhammad Tuesday, July 1st 2014 at 11:29AM

Steve it appears you are right about high potassium and kidney failure being related. I read on the National Library Of Medicine website:

When the kidneys fail they can no longer remove excess potassium, so the potassium level becomes over the proper limit, this can result in nausea, irregular heartbeats and sudden death. This may occur in people with Chronic Kidney Disease (which is the most aggressive from of kidney disease), where dialysis or a kidney transplant is needed in order to maintain health.. Between dialysis treatments, however, potassium levels rise. Because of this, high potassium foods must be limited so potassium levels do not get too high before the next treatment.

Also kidney failure and excess potassium buildup can be a (rare) side effect from certain cancer treatments, this evidently was the case with Irma as she endured chemotherapy on and off for a few years. I'm unsure as to the effectiveness of a kidney transplant for people in Irma's age group, but had I known before it was too late about Irma's kidneys failing, I would have done all I could do to help her find a suitable donor.

Truth B. Told Tuesday, July 1st 2014 at 11:50AM

@Steve Williams do you know if the family will have a funeral for Sister Irma? If so, will you post the info on this board and how we can donate?

Steve Williams Tuesday, July 1st 2014 at 11:54AM

Thank you for that information Siebra. I was wondering about a transplant too, but her doctor had told her that he could treat her and so I didn't follow up on it. I'm sure being a cancer survivor had residual effects and other medications could have had a negative impact too. For instance metformin for diabetes, which I didn't know she had been taking until the last time I talked to her. She had been to her various doctors before she was hospitalized and she told me they were just pointing their fingers at each other. From what she said, until she was hospitalized there was not one doctor who managed all the posible interactions.

Steve Williams Tuesday, July 1st 2014 at 12:07PM

Truth B, I am still waiting to hear. What I do know is she will be cremated and I don't believe there will be a viewing. A memorial service will be conducted by the SGI-USA (our buddhist organization), in Sacramento. I will let you know the date. There is no cost associated with the memorial service and so far it doesn't seem she left instructions, but I will find out what I can about any charities she may have been involved with. We do know her mantra: Educate! Educate! Educate!

Steve Williams Tuesday, July 1st 2014 at 12:50PM

The service will be sometime around 7/10 but not before. I would guess they'd make it for the weekend. Still waiting to hear about charities.

I was recently listening to some music on youtube and thought about how Irma always use to say, "I chant and I pray that etc.... Here is a song I liked because it says " Listening to this chants helps to calm oneself. Don't worry if one does not understand the lyrics. Concentrate on the music and chanting. Calm and tune oneself to the same frequency to the music and chanting and the result and effect...."
