RUBY DEE SPEAKS ON HER LEGACY, HER INVOLVEMENT WITH THE MOVIE "ROOTS", AND THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT

She gave some very good answers to the questions she was asked. My youngest child, has chosen the field of Cinematography and she is mad at me because I told her that she is unable to relate to Black Peoples experience. Since childhood she has had more interest in Asian. I first thought it was only a phase that she would grow out of, but she is taking Japanese in college and now even plains to go to Japan or Korea. I don't know what to do to help her understand that she has to love herself first before she can love other nationalities.
