With this picture.
Being born a woman
AIN'T what it's cracked up to be.
First, those so called KINGS,
The 'STRONGER' of the two
Wanted boys as their LEGACY,
To carry the torch,
To ride the white horse,
Wearing the white hat...
The ALPHA WOLF,
To be the leader of the pack.
GIRLS were shoved in a corneer
Unless your name was
ANN BOLIN
OR EVE who had a job to do
And never talked to GOD.
There is something wrong with this picture.
Those POOR creatures
Needing his rib...
Wonder if that's why
He has her standing by?
Is that where his weakness lies?
Then there are those that were martyed Misses
JOAN burned at the stakes
And SARAH GOOD declared a WITCH.
Then there's the women
Who survived the MIDDLE PASSAGE
Who worked from sun to sun
Working other people's jobs.
Dragged aboard a sailing ship
Dumped into an alien land
Of satrk white evil,
Suffering at another's hand.
SURVIVED and made plans;
Raising someone else's kid
While her's waited standing by.
Some HANGING from a tree
Or taking her place
At CHARLIE'S hand.

No weakness there
While the MADAME of the Manor
Couldn't handle the demands,
So she SAT and fanned, and Called on Missy
To NURSE her babies
And HANDLE HER MAN.

She walked from Utah to California
Birthing babies and herding cows
A shotgun and a whip in hand,
Up before sunrise
After putting yesterday to bed.
O the ones who faught the man...

Some dying in the swamp
Dragged, beaten, and thrown in jail,
Martyred leaving babies behind.

Lets not forget MORNING STAR
Captured in her own land,
Used and abused whatever he demands...
Watched her and her brothers
Bleed into the dust...
Then dragged behind his horse for miles...
Sores on her feet.
And when she died along the way,
Left to swell up in the sun for hawks and buzzadrds and other prey.
Killing off the food supply, tainting the rivers and the streams
HALF-BREEDS left behind or sold...
A burden borne in silence only the GREAT ONE knows.
