To be Blessed.

I had a conversation with a friend today, and we all know I love the conversations that leaves me thinking. And she was speaking about measuring your blessings by the "THINGS" you have. And of course, I started thinking and looking back. Here I am again, in a situation worse than ever before, literally not having a fork to my name! I started to feel a little frustrated about my life because my conversation with my friend, although I know you don't measure your blessings by "stuff", but it made me focus on the fact that I literally am homeless, I have no address, and I really do not own a fork : ) So I went to the store today, determined to buy ""A FORK", and alllllllllll of the silverware was so far out of my reach that I left the store MORE frustrated. Why can't I even buy a single fork????

THEN...I went to my Bible, where my comfort comes from, and this is what I read.

"BLESSED are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heave."
"BLESSED are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
"BLESSED are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."
"BLESSED are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."
"BLESSED are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."
"BLESSED are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
"BLESSED are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

~Matthew 5:3-10

So I guess, I actually have EVERYTHING AFTER ALL!!!!!

Thank you Lord for your love.

Sister Sonya,

Surely you jest, right? I don't mean to be asking but you literally can't afford to buy a fork? There has to be a Catholic Church in your area that will give you something as little as a fork. Please send email me in my private in box and let's see how we can rectify this situation.
