DL Hughley Breaks the News premiered on CNN Saturday October 25, 2008. African Americans viewers "hated It" and was "embarrassed"; white females found it "entertaining and information" and white males "wanted to like it," and probably hoped not to be blamed for the buffoonery. Yalanda I saw the part where he was interviewing Mark McClellan, the former Press Sec for President Bush. I don't think anything in itself was wrong with the show's concept, I just think D.L. Hughley is not known as a serious person and perhaps CNN should find someone else for this show such as Tavis Smiley or Cousin Jeff from the BET Network. I think D.L. is out of his element and probably has been typecast to comedy similar to child actors.

the show is suppose to use his "comedic" nature to spin the news. ironically, it was moments when he was not trying to be funny that people actually enjoyed or at least paid the most attention to.

I personally thought it was tacky, I agree with Jen, I would have loved to see Jeff Johnson on there.
