Okay, I think I have had it. If I see another FEMALE in the store in her pajama bottoms I will scream. I can't figure it out if I'm upset because it is Nasty, Disrespect for self appearance or just plain Laziness. What makes me more upset is most of these young girls are with their MOTHERS. My mother wouldn't let me to this day go out in public like that and I'm 40+. All I hear is them say "I don't care what people think about me". "I don't care what people say about me". But HONEY would you wear this to a job interview, on a date, or to work, all said no, so you do care what people think so isn't the message you are giving is "I don't care what I think about me, so why should you?". I asked my nephew's girlfriend (18) last night what was it and she it is comfortable and sees nothing wrong with it. Have we really gotten that lax with our kids that we don't care if they look presentable, show respect for themselves, look clean? I agree with the late Bernie Mac there are no more BIG MAMAS out there putting us in check. My aunt said she remembers when her mother was making a stink about jeans in public and they became a fashion statement, but if pajama bottoms make it to that stage I will have to object. What happened? Did I miss something? Pajama bottoms in public are you kidding me?
I don't know what these kids are thinking or should I say that they aren't thinking. The problem with too many liberties in this country is that it makes people act foolishly.

I agree, the pajamas are outrageous. Now, don't get me wron, I'll wear some sweat pants, (especially now it's getting cold). AND don't let them fool you when they say, I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT ME, b/c they do!
Jacqueline: Your right there are NO MORE BIG MAMAS checking US no more. I wish there were, maybe I wouldn't have gone through the mess that I have :)

Well I am fifty years old, and I have run to the corner store to get a Pepsi, and I can tell you now that although I haven't worn pjs to the store, what I had on wasn't all that cute. And when I go out like that I don't care what people are thinking or looking at. Now I have teenage girls and they are very particular about what they have on and that their hair is presentable. And even with them some days they will come out a little unkempt. But to where pjs as a fashion statement. I do hope that one doesn't happen. lol
I've run out in my PJs before too, and really didn't care what folks thought. But a fashion statement? Well may-be, if what you're trying to convey is I'm sloppy, lazy and way short on self esteem. Just Sayin
