Teaching concepts to a resistant audience. Ministers vs.Ministers (183 hits)
This is a response I posted in the controversy taking place between our Minister Sisters on the group Goddesses Blessing Goddesses:
Teach to the audience as babes in a new thought pattern. In order for learning to take place..you have to educate first. Politics and Religion seem to sprout from emotional roots..if the learner is hanging on to precepts and that is the protective cloth they bear..don't expect them to remove it for a second..fear is the other emotion that has deep roots..you can understand that it would prevent the audience from accepting any challenges..without stakes to hold fast to.
I am very rooted in HIS grace, I am well aware of organized religion as well as the precept of free agency. You must be strong, as you well know..Stop. Listen and Pray. Always in prayer..being free is a dangerous mindset..including for those of us who have either studied or experienced entry into many different denominations in search for truth.
The final truth does not rest in man , the utterance of scriptures or encyclopedic knowledge of any "particular " Bible..it rests in the meek and humble shown by your works and deeds..I have all my life tried to be a doer of good deeds, not a talker of one..Secularly speaking the whole Deity Goddess framework was older than Christianity..and then we know what happened..it's a foreign concept..and it demands that the audience be oriented to many disciplines and levels of understanding before the foray into a concept of Goddess. Carry on.
Here is food for thought for all..if the concept of Goddess is attached to pagan rituals,we know that are roots and the roots of Africa as a Civilization was in earth,sun,moon and star worship. With the advent of European development it eventually became a book of Miracles, the story of a Son of God, who in the midst of Africa, Ethiopia that holds the Covenant of the Arc,(already discovered by archaelogists) had to be brown, with wooly hair..how did he after KJV become a white man with blue eyes? and so , though I read the Bible..I am oriented ..some Biblical truths cannot be argued with, healing takes place in the form of miracles, ask and you shall receive..the fact is and this is a professional business networking site as well..that I once read a book on how it is possible that the most evil person in the world can have success.. answer because he believes..
Fear is a horrible emotion. I wonder why we still have it..we don't have to hunt for food anymore.. maybe it is just part of the evolultionary process. To combat fear you have to have grit and verve even when you think you will faint.
If you are strongly rooted in your faith..nothing will move you. You have no fear. We are living in Babylon, all speaking different things yet we seek the same Peace.
And I thank you!! Well said Marta. I will try to remember how fearful my people are.However, there has come a time to know that there is NOTHING to fear but fear itself. But thats also my point, what is there to be fearful about if you have GOD ?? Once a person discovers that they are of GOD, and GOD resides in them, fear can not exist. Thats my observation too, especially if they are strongly rooted in faith.

Peace and Blessings Sisters, Beautifully stated on all sides. If I may add my three cents, we have to remember that in our family, as the Original people, we have been lost from the knowledge of ourselves and our direct connection to Allah (God) for more than four hundred years. Slavery was the last stake nailed into the hearts of us, as a people. Bound to the bottom of ships, whipped, sold, raped, murdered, hung for centuries...generation to generation, even to the date.
We, as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan teach us, have been turned upside down and inside out. We have been robbed our language, robbed our knowledge; we lost our religion, our culture and our God. We were given a foreign language (English), knowledge (lies) and education (mental slavery) that makes us inferior and the Caucasian superior. We were given their religion, not the true Christian religion, but their made up Christian religion that paints them as our Lord and Savior. Our people were Muslims, not Christians when they arrived here in Babylon. We called out to Allah by praying and speaking in Arabic.
The condition that we are in now is a result of the breaking process that we underwent to take us from a civilized to a degenerate people. Our fear comes from over four years of torture and despair. Whether we are consciously aware or it is programmed into our subconscious, we still have that dross of fear in our minds. We don't believe we can succeed because we still fear the backlash of white supremacy, coupled with self-hatred and environments that perpetuate the stigma that we are in fact less than our counterparts. The media and the language used to describe or relate to us, as people also place a major part.
Thank you for this blog. I've enjoyed reading the responses and pray that it is one that we can continue to delve into.
May Allah (God) continue to bless our spiritual wombs to give birth to His Divine Light of understanding.
