Goddess "the term," I am somewhat confused, please explain? (1241 hits)
I have noticed the term Goddess used quite frequently on this site. I believe I am a goddess in my own definition, "strong, bold, beautiful, spiritual, loving, caring and nurture." However, I feel that my understanding of the word if far from what is meant by many on this site. Pardon my ignorance. Please help me out here. Is this a new movement, is it all about Christianity, or is it meant to help empower women? How does it relate to the apostolic faith, or does it?
Hi there! Here's my two-cents on the whole Goddess thing: I think it's more of movement of self-empowerment than the pagan religion of the word for Black women. I don't think that's being ignorant at all to question it. I think it embodies Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and all religions, embracing and respecting all differences. Well, maybe I should just speak for me by saying that if I use the word "Goddess," I'm using the term to relate to a woman of enormous strength and power, who could also be a women who believes the Lord and Jesus Christ is her savior. I'm certainly not gonna go out and start burning colored candles and doing sun rituals--not making fun, that is the "pagan" embrace of the word Goddess, which is associated with those kinds of rituals. Goddess equates to female Divinity. While currently labeled a New Age belief, worship of the Goddess predates Christianity. Female Divinity has been obscured and left untaught by traditional Christianity, however She is there and clearly visible in the pages of canonized scripture. Her name is Wisdom; her creation as a separate and companion entity to God is deliniated in Proverbs 8:22-30. Just Sayin

Hi GODDESSES, blessings to each of you NOW and FOREVER. Thank you for your divine wisdom in explaining GODDESS ! You are all CORRECT !!!! Don't you ever feel the divine energy of GOD/DESS residing in your soul ? Thats who GODDESS is !!! We ARE the DELIGHT, that the canonized scripture, Sister Michelle was referring to .( if you haven't read, would be suggested here is a good idea). I'll try to be brief, as there really aren't words to actually describe Goddess that are worthy. In the beginning, there was GOD/DESS, Both entities,ALPHA and OMEGA. You are meant to seek out the knowledge of HER/HIM or HIM/HER whichever you perfer, because YOU are the TREE OF the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL. GOD/DESS designed it specifically that way because it was already known that you will seek enlightenment regarding this. Since the beginning of EARTH TIME, as we know it. Yes, we've been sitting on the right side since the beginning of that time. Our Ancient ancesstresses were aware.(WHEN GOD WAS A WOMAN), and was identified then as the highest deity living on earth.(My advise here, is to begin to learn this her-story,it'll enlighten you further). MANKIND, (kind of like a WOMAN)came from US, GODDESS, not the other way around like you have been lead to believe. Now I'm not talking about whats in the bible at this point, this was BEFORE it was CREATED(written), and before JESUS was born. So let's not get things twisted. The BIBLE and JESUS is/was divine order.(also created for enlightment ). However, MAN wanted to be identified as GOD ,(because of the nature of mankind,and was on a destruction mission throughout HIS-STORY). That, we have become too familiar with (wars, power,etc). When you pray, you are actually praying to both entities,but the GODDESS in you was meant to be respected foremost.(most of us have been programed to identify with ONlY a Male figure). In your minds eye,try to focus on the GODDESS/GOD being ONE, and therefore being of GODDESS,(firstborn), you will discover a tremendous TRANSFORMATION, because you are including both entities that you were meant to identify with. That PRESENCE ,is... THE SUPREME BEING. And yes, there's a movement taking place, and I have been elected to help bring this knowledge of what I know , to the forefront. Also, heres an update that a few know : She's in full force (meek shall inherit the earth ) SHE IS THE ORIGINAl WOMAN, all others are Carbons from Her MOLD. That's why the strong influence of her image in the fashion world and why she has elevated to powerful positions because of comming into alignment with the Universe. But she HAS got to WAKE UP, (BEEN SLEEPING TOO LONG) !!!!!!
