I can recall hearing my pastor preaching on the subject. I always had problems understanding how to get to the point of me walking in “purpose.” I read books, read the Bible, and asked certain questions, but it wasn’t until I stepped out on faith that my question was answered. I understand why it was so hard now. The opposite of faith is fear. When we’re young fear is not so ingrained in our belief system, so we take risk and step out on faith. But something starts to happen as we grow older our life experiences, and other people’s opinions start to matter more than they should. I talk about this with my clients a lot. They all seem to agree that certain people taught them how to be fearful of various things in their lives. I find it very interesting that fear is so deeply rooted in our psyche I still battle with it at times. But knowing that I’m walking in purpose gives me a sense of security and the strength to keep moving forward. Is fear preventing you from walking in you “divine purpose”? If the answer is yes, take the necessary steps to move beyond your fears.
