Hi, Toni..I am answering this comment, because that's is part of what I taught, and the work that I do as an anthropologist. The word you describe comes from the Caucacus mountains of Eastern Siberia. They are decendants of the "Asiatics" it has nothing to do with "white" and you arrived at an interesting but obvious conclusion,the word origin does not match the eventual definition, nor the ethnic pool of the original people , who dispersed (Diaspora) from Africa...hegemony is a good word definition to know, because the ruling class always makes up the rules! I wanted to avoid academic jargon and just say it as simply as possible. If you are interested I would be happy to share what I teach on the subject of race and culture. I never felt that I needed to get paid to share knowledge,which is how the "internet" began.. a community for the free exchange of ideas..now what is has evolved to is just a consequence of capitalism.
