Hello ladies, I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you that today is the 9th of the month and the reminder day for Self Breast Exams. We all have to be aware that although we are busy with working, building our businesses, taking care of family , etc. but what would our lives or the lives of our families and loved ones be like without us? Our bodies are a temple and we should honor them. Many women die needlessly because they are too busy or just don't think self breast exams are important. Some will say that breast cancer does not run in my family so I don't really have to worry or I am too young...that is so far from the truth. I personally know a young lady who was in her 20's, no family history of breast cancer and on a monthly SBE found a lump, which was cancerous but she was able to receive life saving treatment because of her early detection. Yes...it can be scarey finding a lump and going through that process but I want to pledge here on this site...if there are any women in the Washington, D.C. metro area that needs a buddy to walk with them through this process...they can email me 4uwmend@gmail.com and I will make every effort to be there to help support them through it.
