Wow! The Girl Scouts has changed. (620 hits)

I would never have known what the Girl Scouts were up to if I had not gone to a meeting yesterday regarding the organization. I loved it. They have changed their whole approach. One of the main emphasis was put on making girls stronger, confident and how to prepare for the world. It is not your old Girl Scouts, mainly consisting of selling Girl Scout cookies and going camping. They still have those things. However, it has taken on a new model, even focusing on at-risk communities and adding more diversity. I cannot say enough about how proud I am of the Girl Scouts. Not that they need my endorsement, or anything like that. Thought I would use this forum to keep you informed. If you know of any young lady looking for a positive group to join, I recommend, without any doubt, the Girl Scouts!!!!!!!!! The new Girl Scouts. Wow, I was so impressed.
