United States Marshal Robert Moore, former Chief of Police of Jackson’s, Police Department chair of the Illinois NAACP Criminal Committee, return to Jackson to lead a nationwide Criminal Justice workshop at Jackson State University ECenter on July 22, 2022 at 10:30 am for the organization “A New Day Coalition for Equality and Justice for Black American” Marshal Moore serves as a consultant to ANCEBA and and the Illinois NAACP.
Our workshop, “Building Trust Between Police and Black Communities, using the Illinois NAACP and Illinois 10 Shared Principles Model, development by the Illinois Chiefs and Illinois NAACP leadership teams designed to build trust. Participants will learn how a premier civil rights agency and a police agency in Illinois joined forces after the Michael Brown killing in Missouri. to form a partnership to seek a way of eliminating the killing a black man in America. Our goal is to introduce this Illinois #leadership model to the nation so that other communities can benefit from the success which we have enjoyed in Illinois.
Our virtual panelists included the Illinois NAACP president, the Illinois Chief Executive Director and Assistant Director, the Springfield Branch NAACP Vice President.
