The US Department of Education is hosting a discussion on the experience of Asian American and Pacific Islander educators for AAPI Heritage Month and Teacher Appreciation Week. The event will begin with remarks from DC State Superintendent Hanseul Kang (https://osse.dc.gov/biography/hanseul-kang…) ill be followed by a panel discussion on how to diversify the teaching profession. The panelists are all current and former teachers that will speak on their identities as AAPI, their current role in education, and their advice for those entering the teaching profession.
