Background:
Since FY 2010, the Center has co-convened and co-hosted 3-4 VA Regional Outreach Events annually. One of the 3 or 4 annual events is held in a rural community. Veterans are not excluded but the target audience is faith-based, nonprofit, community/neighborhood leaders, and organizations. This is an opportunity for faith-based, nonprofit, community, and neighborhood leaders, and organizations to learn about the programs and services VA provides to Veterans, family members, Survivors, caregivers, and other beneficiaries. It provides the attendees with information on how to collaborate with VA at the local, regional, and national levels. Having this information will assist them as they provide support to our Veterans. Local and national speakers share information on how collaborative partnerships can work together to assist our Nation’s Veterans.
