Introduction
Hello there, I am new to the group management/blogging world, so bear with me as I trudge along. If you did not know before, let me introduce myself. My name is Kim Walton-Durham, I am an “independent author and publisher.” I just published my first book on amazon.com, May 15th, 2016, plan to publish more in the future. I have self-taught myself; not only how to publish, but also how to make book covers. My work is not perfect by any means, but I feel good that I taught myself.

Why the Blog
I decided to start my group/ blog when I could not find, what I was looking for while searching. We all want that site, blog that suits out needs. What I mean by that; I wanted a place where I could go and ask questions, as well as get advice. I also want an active area, even if a post was shared once a month. It is better than once a year! There is so much information out there to aid us, indie publishers. However, I must admit that the information is hard to find at times. We need areas; places where we can go to for information.
Later this year; I plan to build my website/blog, I am actively studying that now. In the future, I will link my site to the group/blog. Let's get started!

Important Points
1. A new post will appear every two weeks. I do not want to overload anyone's feed. Also, I know how I get when I receive a message every day.
2. The group/blog is to be checked weekly, to answer questions and welcome new members.
3. The information provided on this group/blog; is for any writer, of any genre. We will share our knowledge and opinions, help each other to the best of our abilities.
4. Use this group/blog to promote your work and the work of others. Provide links that can be shared and viewed.
5. Take the time to “like and share,” another’s work. Go either above or below your post, but share and share.
6. Sharing someone’s work; is done by using, the hot buttons listed on the blog. In today's world of technology. We can share on Facebook, Pinterest, Google+, and so many more sites, just with a click of a button. Sharing our work leads to exposure, for that artist, writer.
7. Please do not post your work every day, twice a week should do it.
8. Lastly, use this forum/group/blog to talk, vent, promote and share. However, leave the hateful comments at home. If you are unable to offer constructive criticism, then offer nothing at all!
