The bride and groom were on their way to their wedding.. ..
However, stopping for a photograph they were engaged with a amazing background. Members of The Black Power Gang in New Zealand were captured in a remarkable but unplanned photograph. The New Zealand gang had just completed a hikoi which is a long march to pay respects for their dead when the couple was surrounded with its members. The bride and groom Sarah and Matthew Oke were of New Zealand were posing for pictures when the gang also got in on their snap shots. The Black Power Gang of New Zealand started in 1970 has continued with Maori and Polynesian members were inspired by the American Black Power movement. Totally at random they posed, however the couple insists they were not part of the gang and the chance of their being in the same place at the same time were merely chance.
