Marriages start off well, but soon the feelings of attraction which seemed so strong, start to diminish. 'Small' misunderstandings, becoming annoyed and irritated quickly, not having the quality to listen and being selfish for instance are all 'deficiencies' emanating from the 'general character' of a person. The 'general character' is of special importance here and requires careful consideration. It is nothing to do with responsibilities of a husband or a wife, but all to do with the very character of the person as a human being which infiltrates married life. It is the character or lack thereof, of the individuals in the marriage that brings down their own marriages, or can make it grow. We may think that we have marriage problems, but maybe they are only character deficiencies in one or both, marriage partners. What are some of the most common, negative character deficiencies that tend to manifest in our marriages? What qualities should couples in the process of marriage be growing and developing in 2016? How should we fight the instincts that incline us to our deficiencies in our character? We are going to have a very serious discussion about this on this Sunday evening.
