A PRAYER FROM MIISRAEL: IN QUIET PLACES I PRAY (716 hits)
A great name is better than great riches we are told by the Word of God. In prayers we know we pray to one who is Great. He is the Almighty God. His name is great and He is holy. When we call on His name we know our prayers are addressed in God's greatness.
"So will I make my name holy name known..."
A GREAT NAME:
Holy Father:
Praise is thine always.
Your Holy name is Great.
You speak with spiritual holiness and
accent the creations of your own hand.
When the ear is in the silence of mornings...
your voice is in the quietness with thunderings.
If we are praying we speak with the prayers that worship
in closets of meditations that honor you.
Always, forever giving prayers and worship in the name that is
Great.
In quiet places I pray. . .
in
JESUS CHRIST
--MIISRAEL
"So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel;and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord." Ezekiel 39: 7 KJV
"When we are quiet. The Lord hath spoken that which is Holy."
I just heard a church program today where the pastor told his congregation that Jesus anointed his twelve disciples with the same power as he himself, and that God saved you so that you can go out and save someone else, and God regulated your crazy mind so that you can go out and regulate someone’s crazy mind! Did he hear the words that were coming out of his mouth? fr I think that the people are so use to hearing the same stories every Sunday, that they don't even notice what's being said.

Helen,
We have to pray for people, especially those of the household of faith. Prayer is essential to Christians as breathing is to living.
@ Miisrael,
As always, I love your blogs especially those on prayer. In fact, I've had so many challenges in the area of my profession that I was fortunate to meet a young person who gave me a meditation to use for work. Its helped to change my focus from feeling burn out and worn down (frustrated) to an attitude of devotion and thoughtfulness while I'm working. That's the wonder of prayer that even though things remain the same around me and at work, my focus has changed to that of a serene focus.
And also this same young person shared a book with me regarding Patience! Of course, you of all people know from some of my past blogs that I needed some patience! Ha!
@Helen, people have dulled ears and really so many who go to church are still earth bound and live not by the Spirit of the Lord. How then are they to understand the power of Jesus if they have not known it, but only have the ideals of worldly things? I would say, they are not growing in the faith, but are much more like listening with ears filled with sinking sand.
@Jeni, Let me give gratitude to your comment. I enjoy the power of prayers. It gives the much needed communication to God. This is where all things are said to him and where God is also is my heart. There is the beautiful relationship like none I've ever known, or even care to know any other. Keep prayers in your relationship with God always!
