Being 100 years old may have some global effect when it comes to jail sentences. In Kenya a elderly woman, Margaret Ngima was sentenced for a 3 months sentence after being fined in court over a land dispute. Her price of the settelement was 100,000 Kenyan shillings which is equal to $1,000 dollars landed her in jail at Embu prision near Nairobi. Outraged at the senior woman being jailed many were appauled. However, she was rescued with full payment by Senator of Kenya Mike Sonko who paid her fine in full and sent a rescue swad to free her. Ngima did serve 1 week in jail before being free. Rejoicing followed her release and with many thanks to her hero, Senator Sonko who help come to her aid. Nigima is 100 years and has children and grandchildren who also shared in her jovial release.
"I know" ...Laws in other countries are very different than in the US and its apparent no age group is exempt from them. I'm glad she didn't have to stay in jail and someone cared to help her. --Definitely need more of that show kindness in the world. --
