Elections of Croatia will mark a new history today as making Kolinda Grabar-Kitavoric their first woman president. The election was held on January 11, 2015. The 46 year old Grabar-Kitavoric won the election by a very small margin, but it was just enough to make her a first and to make a history first for Croatia. Grabar-Kitavoric has served as a former foreign minister. She defeated her opposition Ivo Josipovic with 50.5% to his 49.5%. The newly elected president has facing her the country's economy and improving growth.
