FORMER HOSPITAL HEALTH CARE WORKER EXPOSED HUNDREDS TO TB (435 hits)

A now former health care worker exposed TB to at least 40 workers and some 700 infants at the Providence Medical Hospital in El Paso, Texas. The worker whom has been treated and released came in contact with the hospital staff and infants while infected. The worker was said to have had exposed them beginning in September of 2013 and some recent cases showed the worker had close contact during work hours. The hospital owner has made a public announcent and apology as well. In addition, steps have been put in place to have TB test administered to those exposed including the infants. This latest exposure of TB is one the largest involving infants in an hospital setting.
