The city of Toledo, Ohio may feel it's something out of a science fiction novel which details allegoric times. Residents have been subjected with toxins in their drinking water. The news struck residents by surprise on Saturday, August 02, 2014 as they were informed that the Lake Erie water has been invaded by a toxic algae which has made its water not suitable for drinking. The supply of water was shut off by the supply company and left 400,00o people without any water. The toxic water isn't to be used for any reasons. Some aid from others assisted in free water handouts, while residents of Toledo stood in long lines to either purchase or get free water from city government officials. The algae in the water has been sent out for testing, but the effects of the present non-water supply has not certain future of how long the 4th largest state can survive conditions without water. Experts are expected to see if any water treatments will help in restoring safe drinking water soon. Meanwhile, residents are truly waiting for an water supply to be restored. At this time, not even boiling the water will prevent dangerous hazard to health.
