A power packed typhoon called Rammasun which translates as "Thunder God" has left many Philippines powerless. The gusty power digger had winds stirring up to 100 miles per hour also has claimed 40 lives. In an effort to help save lives the Philippine government evacuated over 400,000 people before Rammasun made it to shore. Once there Rammasun showed brute force by damaging over 26,000 homes and also taking the main electric power out in many areas. There many be others in the power of it's death toll as some areas have not yet been evaluated. High waters are also flooding some areas as many citizens are struggling to see the aftermath of Rammasun's stir of the whip! Some government offices were re-opened on Thursday, July 17,2014 yet many businesses and schools remain closed without power. The typhoon is headed out to sea toward China which there it may land with another fierce wave of it's "Thunder God's" arrival. The typhoon struck Manila on July 15, 2014 lasted approximately two days ending on Thursday, July 16, 2014.

God have mercy on the people of the Philippines! Yikes... Its challenging living in those parts of the world especially when the land you live is only a cluster of many tiny islands that can be wiped out in a matter of seconds.
