THAD COCHRAN TAKES THE WIN OVER TEA PARTY SUPPORTED CHRIS MCDANIEL (343 hits)
COMMENTARY
Mississippi voters went to polls on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 to elect or rather re-elect Thad Cochran for another term. The last election left Republican Cochran and Republican Chris McDaniel with this day's run-off. McDaniel who was strongly supported by the Tea Party was never expecting a run-off since he had spent more campaign dollars than Mr. Cochran. However, with other controversy spreading around McDaniel was said to have been behind a photo peep show of Mr. Cochran's ill wife. With all that floating around McDaniel just wasn't able to get the win in the final selection. Thad Cochran will take the Senator's Seat for Mississippi. Cochran thanked his supporters in his victory win. McDaniel wasn't a eager loser, but did complain if it was really the true election by the Republicans. Cochran won with 51% of the vote and McDaniel lost with 49%. Tea party supporters may not be excited with the cup of tea that didn't quite serve the Mississippi's Senator.
