...CAUSE I AM A WOMAN

Focus Guest: Nicole Lyons, Race Car Driver [Pictured top]

What I've always known is driving because I grew up with an early age learning driving techniques from my father, Jack Davis. I'm the very first woman race car driver. My father was my greatest influence in learning everything there is to know that attributed to my becoming one of Black women's first in the career of racing. As I made much progress in becoming a NHRA drag racer. During this great career and recently in December 2013 I finished 10th in a NASCAR'S race. Long steady determination made me a first and continued work and long hours makes for my success. I keep striving for a much better race win. But yet, I have won first place in driving professionally in racing fast cars. I knew it could be accomplished... . . . cause I am a woman. I move in the race of firsts.

Focus Guest: Tia Northfleet, First Black Female to drive for NASCAR [Pictured centered]

Just like any average little girl I just didn't want to play with dolls. I wanted to be in the fast lane and grew up loving fast cars. Much like Nicole, my fast passion for cars was influenced by my dad, Bobby Northfleet who gave me that adventure to be a driver. Not only did I love them, I pursued an ambition to drive fast cars. Since you may didn't realize I am a modern day first for women. I'm the first woman in history to drive in professional race cars for a popular professional race organization . I'm NASCAR'S first Black woman race car driver. I had great ambition as well to show I had what it takes to drive fast cars. I feel that of course, is a great accomplished task as I've unlocked the car doors for other professional women before and after me. I've still much speed ahead but I've made a landmark in one of the first's of this daring tasks for women and Black women in history. It's costly, but I encourage with this statement ""Follow your heart and your passion and don't let anyone discourage you from being who were meant to be.". . . cause I am a woman I have the drive to succeed.
