As a second generation Spartan, I have the utmost respect for my university. Experiencing Norfolk State as a child filled me with dreams of attending college. Arriving here on our lovely campus encouraged me to mimic the strong study habits of my colleagues that I did not possess prior to my admittance in 2011.
NSU has given me the motivation and tools necessary to build a strong foundation in the real world upon graduation. My university has allowed me to network with other ambitious individuals at a substantial level. The connections I have made give me confidence that I can and will reach my fullest potential in life. As a business student, the faculty and staff in my department have encouraged me to go above and beyond what I believed to be my highest capabilities. I can receive academic assistance through tutoring centers, but even more so from our awesome professors who have flexible office hours to accommodate a student’s hectic schedule. Because of them, I am seriously considering participating in the business plan competition held by the Ernest M. Hodge Institute for Entrepreneurship.
Attending NSU is a privilege, and you should take full advantage of it. NSU is a place where you are guaranteed a fair shot to blossom into a thriving adult and professional. I can’t deny it, I am a proud Spartan! Norfolk State Spartans strive through adversity and demand success. I am so blessed to be a part of this distinguished institution.
