Harvard University issued this year Artist's of the Year award to actor and rapper artist James Todd Smith, also known as LL Cool J. The award was honored to LL for his work to improve and raise literacy in low income neighborhoods. The prodigious award was given out at a ceremony at the Sanders Theater on the Harvard campus on Saturday, February 22, 20014. Harvard's Director, Dr. Allen Counter recognized Cool J's work through the Jumpstart program. LL Cool J works eagerly with the Jumpstart program as ways to give back to the community.
