There was a time that going to library meant looking down isles of titles and rows of books that faced you with the old filing of the Dewey Decimal System, but now that's somehow becoming obsolete. The new bookless library is the wave of futuric as San Antionio, Texas has opened it's bookless library also called the Biblio Library earlier the second weekend of September, 2013. What you'll see is rows and rows of computers sitting on top of desk modules. No need to check out with a library clerk, it works nothing like that anymore since there are absolutely no books! You'll plug in on-line to view the eletronic books in making a selection.
The Bexar County Biblio Library offers its patrons access to 10,000 free e-books and check out is available for patrons library cards by an app which they can use the e-book for 14 days borrowing time. The library patron will need their own device and a access the apps to a 3M Cloud library program. Many complain having a computer tablet library is great, but they miss the body of pages of books. It is a futuric library, and well books aren't totally gone away to all people who enjoy reading. Other complaints were that reading screens may be diffucult on the eyes.
