PAYCHECKS RAISES SLIGHTLY MORE IN 2014 IN SOME STATES (346 hits)
YOUR NATIONAL NEWS Day 30 December 2013
In brief...
Raising the wage up to $9.00 and hour may possibly happen in 14 United States of America. This may be disappointing to many workers in states where the wages will not give any increase at all. The protestors from many fast food chains are wanting at least a $15 and hour increase, but so far no change in their protests has had results for that type of salary increase. Media have mentioned that the President is in total agreement that at least the $9.00 is welcomed, but hoped it would become unified across the country. Some states remain at the existing minimum pay at $7.25 an hour. Many businesses are not very amused as entertaining pay heights without some promises of tax cuts and business benefits in any increasing of wages.
Among the 14 states increasing wages are Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont. At least two to three states may pay the $9 and hour and others range from $7.50 up to $8.73 and hour.
