Mr. Morris called in during the last 20 minutes of The Gist of Freedom interview with, guest Historian, Leslye Joy Allen. He spoke with Leslye and host Preston Washington
He gave a moving testimony of what he remembered and discovered on the morning of the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church on September 15, 1963."

August 28th Martin Luther King gives the "I have a Dream Speech " King makes reference to the Children Crusaders' Bail money,

"Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check; a check which has come back marked 'insufficient funds.' "
**September 15th The bombing, the fourth such incident in less than a month, the four little girls are killed in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Ala.
These tensions and terroristic acts were supposedly aroused by the desegregation of three schools.
None of the 50 bombings of Negros and their property, in Birmingham since World War II have been solved.
The Birmingham bombing of The Four Little Girls brought hundreds of angry Negroes pouring into the streets.
Johnny Robinson, a 16-year-old Negro, was shot in the back and killed by a Birmingham policeman with a shotgun.
Virgil Wade, a 13-year-old Negro, was shot and killed just outside Birmingham while riding a bicycle.
The Birmingham Church bombing and the deaths of the Four Little Girls helped to galvanize the American civil rights movement. ------------
