They've been hacked!
At least 160 million credit cards numbers were hacked by a ring of hackers from companies includes J.C. Penny, 7-Eleven, JetBlue, Heartland Payment Systems and the Carrefour. Prosecutors said the hackers operation ran from 2005 through 2012. There were at least 160 million credit cards stolen costing dozens of companies hundreds of millions in losses. This was considered one of the largest hacking and data breach in the country. The members of the hacking gang indictments were said to be four Russian and one Ukraine nationalists. Computer security experts said the operation was sophisticated and very well organized. Those defendants were identified as Vladimir Drinkman, Aleksandr Kalnin, Roman Kovtov. The largest loss of hacking drained from the Heartland Payment Systems which was said to be at least $200 million dollars. Credit cards numbers were said to be sold at $10 each for Americans and $50 for Europeans.
