NAOMI AND RUTH ADOPTION OF MORE THAN A MOTHER-IN-LAW (1630 hits)

HAVE A MOST HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
It's Mother's Day and Happy Mother's Day Every Mother, and Mother-in-law,

To begin there is a fascinating story behind the story of Ruth and her mother-in-law Naomi. Both were women first of all of different culture and backgrounds. When the daughters-in-law of Naomi's sons were made widows and Naomi also was a widower that left three women without a man in the house. Naomi was left poor and lost her possessions told both her daughters-in-law to return home. They both were still young enough to marry again and find new husbands, but Naomi being of old age was finished with child-bearing and nearing too old to marry again. So having to return to her homeland, she packed up to travel a long road home. The daughters-in-laws traveled with her, but one of her daughters -in -laws decided not to continue with the journey. However, Ruth loved Naomi so much she dedicated herself to stay and care for her. Taking on the challenge of feeding her and seeing to her necessary situation of poverty. All this caring heart led Ruth to gleam the wheat fields to make bread to eat. Casting the will of God came unto Ruth, for the owner of the wheat fields Boaz, who was duly wealthy took pity on her and requested that the field works leave extra pieces for her to gleam.

The beauty of a relationship between Boaz and Ruth blossomed, and then too Naomi discovered the opportunity to help her daughter-in-law find a husband that could care for her impoverish conditions. Naomi discovered that Boaz was a relative of hers and a matchmaking formed as she encouraged Ruth to lay at Boaz's feet during a night's rest. Boaz's eyes favored Ruth and a marriage was made.

Yet, looking at such an amazing story of a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law's love. Two women both widows from different backgrounds made a no division of difference in finding a better life away from indigent living conditions. Not only did Ruth love Naomi so much, she also took her as her very own mother. Ruth believing so to trust Naomi also left the traditions of her gods and worship of other idols to become a believer in the God of Heaven. Ruth wanted to be included totally believing in Naomi's God the One and Only True God.

What then says this of non-believers in the God of Heaven cannot become believers? This story is true evidence of this. In addition, there is the deep love that was displayed between the two women of different backgrounds. How much so one today can also adopt a mother, or a mother-in-law with the beautiful element of showing love in a pure heart. Most importantly, the wheat fields which indicates that a growing loving heart is truly fed with Heaven's Bread.

Mothers and Daughters, Sons and In-laws. How so special is God's love for everyone willing to gleam for it. A Perfect Adoption of the Heavenly Kingdom.

"And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee:
for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou
lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people,
and thy God my God."
Ruth 1:16

Yes! It has all those things. A good lesson, a array of four characters and a wonderful ending showing love and leading up also to the wonderful family tree of Jesus. I think you've started something here. I'm sure to think of Ruth and Naomi every Mother's Day in the future days I live. . Inspirational indeed!!!

I love the WORD.

Ms. Bride,

We have such stories in our race that we don’t have to go to the Jewish people and borrow their story to inspire us.

The world of Christianity, its stories and prophets are not ours. We can live in the shoes and stories of other people.

The Children of Israel were just as ignorant as you are because they wanted to live in the stories of the Egyptian people and Moses kept telling them that they can’t because the Hebrew people are racial different from the Egyptian people. You all know how the story ended am I right. This is not brain surgery!

I watched the movie
The Story of Ruth on UTube...

I just think it's a beautiful story... The love of a daughter in law... who gave up everything to follow her mother (in law) and she had such devotion to her.

there is no better way to show love, devotion, trust!

I read this story every mother's day....

Most importantly.... these were the words spoken @ my wedding....

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Oh! that's great Cynthia. your own story is inspiring to me. How so precious is the devotion Ruth gave to Naomi, but commitment of "thy people my people, and thy God my God!" stirring up the love! And guess what too? My pastor also told the story of Ruth in today's worship! I almost fell off the bench! Ha! Talk about spiritual happiness. I know nothing in God's doing is by chance. He has his way of always giving inspiration to those who pursue it!

oh sweetness.... I tell you that story is a number one choice for a Mother's Day celebration... Then of course Esther... and Sapphira (Ananias wife)....

I can watch the Story of Ruth
and The Apostle Paul movies all day every day... Because each time I watch... I seem to pick up something that I've missed before.

Like this time around I realized that Naomi was in away a very cunning woman... when she told Ruth to lie at the feet of Boaz... Geesh... you know Naomi had to have a fevernt faith...
"what a scandal" .... if Ruth had gotten caught... she was already treated as an outsider and stranger in Naomi's homeland....

Again... look at all Ruth had to face... for the love of her mother! Although Naomi lost her husband and sons but she gained a whole lot more...

Ms. Bride,

All that I am asking you to do us use your common sense. I have nothing against the stories of the Bible. I have nothing against the Arabian’s experience with God and their Prophet Mohammed.

Having said this do you see and understand psychological speaking the mental crippling damaging destruction you are causing to our young Black American children when you feed them the Jewish scriptures and our children are not Jewish people?

Well, I’ll tell you. You are destroying a Black American life and replacing it with a Jewish life and our children are not Jewish children.

In the 60’s our children instinctively rebelled against the tradition of their parents when they began naming their children La Tanya, Lakiesha, Shameek instead of Bible names. Our children rebelled in other ways as well. Fewer and fewer children are in the churches today compare to when you and your parent were going to church. This is a natural nature like rebellion because our children don’t want to walk the same road as their parents because they see the road of their parents have done nothing for their parents.
Our children wants something of their and not what belongs to the Jewish people.

My pastor has two children, the girl is 16 and her name is Naomi and his son is 14 and his name is Noah. These are Black American children with Jewish names. Don’t you see something wrong with that picture?

How will we like the Children of Israel have our own if we don’t have a prophet to lead us away from the ways and customs of the Jewish people? How could God come to us if we have our minds on the Jewish people and their religion?

You say that there are many stories about mothers. You are playing down what I am saying. I am saying that you need to stop implanting the Jewish stories to our children and implant stories about Black Americans so that our children can grow up as Black Americans and not Jewish people.

I am the beginning of our spiritual core value. I present the new way while you represent the old way that has kept us spiritually suppressed for the past 500 years.

You know what I am saying is true because you can find such a similar story as ours in the Bible in the Book of Exodus that the Children of Israel were in while the captive in Egypt am I right.

So, why do you all give me such a hard damn time?

"Utopia!" Got that message totally! That is exactly the gain of a whole lot more. The topic is subject in this blog is made justifiable as it has been equally divided by the WORD.

"Again... look at all Ruth had to face... for the love of her mother! Although Naomi lost her husband and sons but she gained a whole lot more..."

That's splendid.

Harry, what you are trying to do is rob Cynthia and I of enjoying this beautiful story of love between two women of separate backgrounds and culture....
You can't.
It's not allowed.
So go away, silly man; and find somewhere else to spread your needless criticism and negatism.
Besides, I am not giving you a hard time, so don't gloat in any vanity you haven't acquired from me..

also.... look at the story.... how easy it was for Ruth whom worshiped idols... Just easily embraced another religion.... Now you know, folks today have a problem with Religion.... But nope not Ruth.. She embraced everything of Naomi's... Her Worship, her way of life (poor and widowed) ..... now that's love and sacrifice if you'd ask me. How many of us would really turn away from our religious teachings.... I know it would not be easy for me to let go of my Prophet Jesus Christ, that son of a Carpenter... Nope if Jesus was good enuff for my ancestors.... He's still good enuff for me..,.

I'll never let him go!!!! "Hallelujah".... Harry can't Trump dat rite there....

You know Ms. Bride.... I've had to go through so much heartache and pain and I know my grandfather would tell me... Cymp when you can't find the words.... You can't pray or you feelin lost.... Just call on the name Jesus!!!

Have you ever been so outside of yourself... Looking back and don't know how you made it through a ruff situation....
I know I did a time of two .... Mommie couldn't help me... Dad (he's not a religious person) coun't help me... Heck I often pinched myself... just to check to see if I made it through....

I had a wonderful Mother's Day... I met my grandson for the very first time... He's 5 years old .... His mother... finally allowed my son to spend time with his son... And my mom got to see her first great grandchild.... I was just so overwhelmed with happiness and joy... And all I could do was hold on to him. We will be taking him home tomorrow... ... but this was the best Mother's Day....
