The Sambo Virus (Samboism) is defined as a sickness of the human spirit that afflicts people of African descent throughout the world. It is characterized mainly by parodoxical thought patterns in which Black people hold the Black race in low esteem and practice a silent form of intra-racial bigotry.

The Sambo Virus (Samboism) originated in the 16th century as Africans were subjected to raw, unabashed expressions of racial hatred, which, conspired with their separation from their cultures, and eventually led them to devalue their own human worth as their memory of the great cultures of the Motherland faded.

The anti-black ideas spawned by the Sambo Virus are not just inert mental data or idle thoughts. They affect interpersonal relationships, even ones as natural and delicate as mother and child. They cause us to stereotype each other and discriminate against our own with what little power we have to do so.

Examples of spiritual diseases and disorders associated with the Sambo Virus include:

1.self/group hatred;
2.self-doubt;
3.overweening respect or admiration for people of European descent;
4.material-based measurements of self-worth;
5. and religious hypocrisy.
