A Plot to Murder Beyonce, Chris Brown, Joss Stone, & Others? (1202 hits)
Scary stuff: Days after news was released that the two men on trial for plotting against singer Joss Stone planned to decapitate her and dump her body in a river, new information came out that indicates Stone might not have been their only target.
The suspects, Junior Bradshaw, 32, and Kevin Liverpool, 35, were arrested in June 2011 by Stone's home with a samurai sword, a lock knife and a hammer in their possession. Though they deny all charges, a detective who testified in their trial yesterday told of a diary the police had found in Liverpool's home. In it, according to the BBC, Liverpool mentioned his need for a semi-automatic gun, a silencer, infrared equipment and a "ninja sword."
Liverpool also noted Stone's date and place of birth in his diary, and included a biography of her musical career. He reportedly made a list numbered 1, 2 and 3, for "rob," "wet/injure" and "death," per BBC ("wet" is street slang for stab). Allegedly, the two conspired to harm the singer because of her ties to the British royal family, reports Showbiz Tonite, and financial motives might play into it as well.
But that's not all: According to E!, the detective told the court that Beyonce, Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Eminem, Dizzee Rascal, Craig Davis and Girls Aloud were mentioned in the diary as well. No further details regarding these artists were released.
A few days before this testimony, Stone herself told the court of her lax home security arrangements. The 25-year-old singer said she rarely used her alarm and did not lock her front door -- though since police informed her that someone was trying to kill her, she has changed her habits.
Just last December, reports surfaced that Justin Bieber was the target of a gruesome murder plot. A convicted killer imprisoned in New Mexico allegedly planned to castrate and strangle Bieber and his bodyguard in New York. ...
I know right! These kids are on some serious stuff these days! Did you hear about he kids that shot the baby in the head!? The mother was walking back from the post office about 9 am in the morning. These kids are on that stuff, but we got to save our youth.
It's really sad, but that is a serious tragedy for the mother of the baby and the mothers' of the two teens.
I thought I saw the blog posted about "a baby" but I haven't had the heart to read it... I heared a story on Steve Harvey Morning show about two youths hijacked some young girl who was buying her breakfast in a store that morning and the young boys waited until she came out of the store and stole her purse.
I was dumb struck; these were elementary aged children. There is entirely too much violence with our youth!!...

Same reason Tupac and Biggies' murders haven't been solved and tons of others outside of LAPD being corrupt.

You can blame the increase violence on the Obama Admin and his lack of support for the Black Community. With our community being the one affected the most by all these cuts, one can expect a correlation whether directly or indirectly with the increase in violence with youth

@Jen... All I know is something has got to be done to foster/mentor our youth. BUT I will say funding is at the helm. What ever happened to the Boys and Girls Clubs?
I concur with you in part on the huge numbers of fatherless households and one can't deny or ignore the stats of what has happened to our community with the lack of fathers in the homes to bring balance in the home. I know this is off topic, but this is my fear with having the same s*x parents ( not that they aren't or don't make good parents --- absolutely not the case). There is something intrinsic that children need from parents that can't be duplicated fully by these alternative family units. The proof shall be in the pudding ... Years to come down the road.
Back on topic... Kwame, it's a huge mess... So the U S Govt. stepped in with its Welfare Program that became a poor replacement and now with the Sequestration (cuts) God only knows that the situation is gonna get worse before it gets better. I don't understand why we can't see how these dynamics have caused more harm than they have good in our Black communities.
The fact of the matter is that two parent households provide a better financial stability ( well it use to before WallStreet) but now with the messed up economy what can we do to ensure our children are engaged in activities from sun up to sun down with No Money.
Guns are available in abundance and I heard that in some neighbourhoods, the kids share these weapons by stashing them in fluorescent light fixtures, laundry shoots, in floor boards, etc... Even criminals are getting enterprising in this downward economy and still Black folk complain and get angry because its the Govt.'s job to solve the problems in our communities. We see how that's going in Chicago! Puhleeze!!!!
Apathy and Mental illness are the sicknesses that need be rooted out of our communities so that we can be propelled to act like when similar things happen in White communities. I heard the other day that parents of the Connecticut massacre were on Capitol Hill pleading and speaking to Congress to do something about assault weapons being banded. President Obama was raised by his grandparents and his mom was re-married for which his Step father was instrumental in his life when they lived in Indonesia. I hardly think he was raised by a single mother. She (President Obama's ) late mom had lots of help. When she sent him back to the States it was based on academics and how best to provide him a better education.
I know that you believe so much in what your first Black President says. However, what he says and what actually happened when he was a young boy are two totally different things.
It appears that he being a politician and lawyer knows how to pander to single women with kids when he needs their votes and support, bu clearly he was raised mostly by his grandparents for which he talks more about in his books.
The proof is in the pudding. Try reading one of his books. The grandfather was like his idol.
