The bright and blue overcast sky brought to also the first public inaugural mass of Pope Francis I. Attended by ten of thousands of the curious, the faithful, the event seekers to St. Peter Square to witness or tell of the first Latin American Pope of the Catholic Church. Elected as Pope after Pope Benedict resigned in February 2013. Jorge Mario Bergoglio was elected to continue as Pope resident. Bergoglio decided to take on the name Francis named after Saint Francis of Assisi. History of the Pope Francis I will enter him as the 266th Pope and the first Pope on non European heritage thus making him also one of the firsts Latin Pope in 1000 years.
As crowds gathered for the service and inaugural mass also ten of thousands all over the world watched on television and listened on radios to hear the Pope's message and blessings. Pope Francis prayed for peace, togetherness and also concerns of saving the earth's ecology. The Pope indicated it will take each person to assist in saving the environment. The day is Rome appeared beautiful and with spiritual enlightenment as the new leader will take on duties of faithful love toward all people of the church and those who will be watching him as a leader of God's people and Jesus testimonial of believers.
