I attended the One Billion Bohemian Women Rising in Manhattan on Feb. 14th. It was therapeutic and liberating. My problems with my blood pressure and resulting vision difficulties began when I was with my abuser. I escaped my batterer but suffered vision loss due to extreme high blood pressure. When my abuser left me he also took the lion's share of the income. I'm barely able to make it on less than half the money I had access to before and totally unable to repay my medical bills.
