Beyonce is facing a $100 million lawsuit after allegedly abandoning a video game project back in 2010.
Daily Mail reports that games company Gate Five claims the singer "abruptly abandoned" their project for a dance-related game called Starpower: Beyonce causing them to lose a $7 million investment in the project as a result.
A judge at Manhatton's Supreme Court has rejected Beyonce's request to reject the lawsuit, after legal papers were filed against her in April this year.
Gate Five claim Beyonce was in breach of contract by backing out of the project in November 2010, and insists her actions "destroyed Gate Five's business." They are claiming her exit meant they missed out on potential profits of $100 million.
They added:[She] drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas.
In response her lawyers say the singer only dropped the project after they failed to finance the video game in time for her involvement to continue.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, this Tuesday a New York Superior Court judge denied the 30-year-old pop diva's motion to dismiss a $100 million lawsuit being brought by game developer Gate Five. The suit, which was filed in April, alleges that Beyonce pulled out of a motion-control dance game project called Starpower: Beyonce, in which Gate Five had already invested almost $7 million. According to Gate Five's attorneys, Beyonce's move has cost them hundreds of millions in potential profits, and led to the laying-off of 70 employees last Christmas season, a "bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five's business." In 2009, she appeared in two television commercials for the Nintendo DS fashion game Style Savvy, and offered five designs from her 'House of Dereon' clothing line in-game.

This is the same case against her Mom...According to the video game company Beyonce signed up in June 2010 to make the video game and they paid Beyonce the money upfront. She didn't like the way she looked or sounded in the game design, so she asked for the video game company to give her a new deal. They refused to do it, and Beyonce stopped answering their calls. The video game was never released.
