NATIONAL AND WORLD NEWS CURIOSITY SENDS ITS FIRST PHOTOS FROM MARS YOUR WORLD NEWS AUGUST 2012 6th Day
NASA celebrated with great enthusiasm as their latest land rover Curiosity made it’s successful landing on the red planet on August 06, 2012. National and Science news spread all across the globe.
Even more jovial the team of NASA engineers received it’s first black and white and color photos of the planet’s surface. Scientists are full of curiosity as well to get every Detail of the mission on camera for future study of the planet’s environment and evolution and microbial life. Presently, the rover is in it’s testing stages as this will be a mission on-going for several weeks. The newest picture has proven that the Mars Lens Imager, or MAHLI has shown to be in working order and affixed to end of Curiosity’s robot arm. The camera is designed to take magnified, close up images of rocks and also wide shots of landscapes. Developments still are hopeful that the $2.5 billion project of NASA’s first astrobiology mission probe is part of it’s 30 year old space shuttle program will continue to show that Curiosity’s mission will remain successful and beneficial to experiences other planets in the future.
