SPACEX CHIEF MAKES VISIT TO DRAGON CAPSULE (436 hits)

The SpaceX project has been a private company going into it's third week received a visit from NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and Chief Executive Elon Musk on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. The two top men were discussing the new SpaceX project and the Dragon capusule. The new era of a Space Station and spaceflights is becoming a potential to a new wave of travel and technologies. Bolden said " We look forward to Dragon becoming a regular visitor to the station." Bolden also wanted to be on hand to see the prototype of a spacecraft that the company is desiging to carry astronauts to the space station. The Dragon capsule made history on May 31, 2012 when it splashed in the Pacific after delivering supplies to the new space station. This mission was the first test NASA conducted with the privately funded company. The fleet of the space shuttle era has become retired and obsolete.
