Distractions, noises, televisions, radios, children, husband, family and telephones all make noise. Now it time to meditate in silence. Listen to the silence and give attention away from the noises of the world around you. Think on God and shut off even your noisy thoughts that distract your intact of silence. A silent moment gives all attention to your Creator and therefore is your concentration pinpointed on devotion, prayers and obedience. While in your closet of silence be honest, sincere having no secrets but openly revealing all things pertaining to your living. Have nothing hidden so that no shame is upon you before the Lord. Silent compassion will abound you and your heart will be opened to hear God’s Spirit inside you.
“For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue confess to God. So let every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” [Romans: 14: 11-12]
“Let us therefore follow after things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.”
Once you have received the silence of meditation, you will expect peace that Jesus has acclaimed for you through God’s word. Your new nature will be calmer, and you will edify others as your presence will be changed in front of men. Always, make time for a silent meditation and receive the inner light which directs your path in obedience of the meditation on the Word.
Let the words of my mouth the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight O’ Lord my strength and my redeemer. [Psalm: 19:14]
