News Alert: U . S . Added 80,000 Jobs in October; Unemployment Rate Dips to 9% (416 hits)
Friday, November 4, 2011
The United States had another month of mediocre job growth in October, the Labor Department reported Friday. Employers added 80,000 jobs in October, slightly less than economists had been expecting. The figure for September was revised upward to 158,000, from the initially reported 103,000, in a month when the figure was helped by the return of 45,000 Verizon workers who had been on strike. The unemployment rate, from a different survey, declined slightly to 9 percent, from September’s 9.1 percent.
...and, to quote Ed. S. "It is too bad most people have no idea that each month for the past 9months has seen a great jump in jobs growth" (smile)

"I" would love to be a fly on the walls of any person in D.C. (not excluding our president) when their favorite lobby person comes to visit. LOL!! (smile)
